For weddings that fall on a non-holiday monday-thursday we do. We only accept clients for full day weddings only on weekends (8 hours or more) or meet our budget criteria of $3000 or above.
Unless otherwise stated, Avery will be the principle photographer at your wedding. We do have an associate program if Avery is already booked for your wedding date. For videography, Richard will most likely the principle videographer.
Yes! We shoot all sorts of events, our experience and skills with weddings translates well into other events.
Our style is influenced by fine art and creativity. We love using creative lighting, interesting perspective and angles and finding imaginative ways to tell your story. We have been called “alive” on our capturing methods. During your wedding day we use a mixture of photo journalism, portraiture and illustrative photography. We tend to be in the background and unnoticed when it is necessary but we also aren’t afraid to be in the middle of the dance floor getting the action up-close, heck, we may even shake our booties a bit! We take pride in being artists and expressing and enabling your personalities to show in the media.
You definitely can, we understand that not every photo on a photographer’s website represents the entire body of work and only the best work is shown. We are not shy to show you what a full event would look like. Please mention it during your consultation with us and we will happily pull up a gallery or two for you.
You can also check out highlights from a full event by visiting the “recent weddings” section of this site.

Yes! We have a photography studio in Oakland for in studio sessions and portable lighting for on location sessions. We aren’t just your wedding photographers, we want to have a relationship with you that spans all aspects of your lives.
In fact, as a wedding client you get free photography for major life events for life!
Yup! We don’t want to just be your wedding photographers, but your life photographers! All full wedding clients will receive a lifetime of waived session fees for in studio photography sessions for major life events. Such events include maternity session, new born session, family portraits, holiday cards, etc. On location sessions are also available for an additional travel fee.
We are experienced with artificial lighting, be it strobes or continuous lights. If the venue is dark during your event, we will set up additional lighting to make sure the photos look spectacular. In fact part of our photography style involves artificial lighting. Our cameras and lenses are top of the line which allows us to shoot in challenging lighting situations where we are not allowed to setup artificial lighting, for example, during a church ceremony.
While we are based out of the San Francisco Bay Area, we offer our expertise and service worldwide. Our package prices remain the same, and we only charge for the following additional costs: Airfare, baggage fees, hotel accommodations (typically two nights), vendor meals for the day of the event.
Depending on your package, timeline, guest count, we would need you to fly out between to 1-3 people per team (photo and cinema, typically lead photographer/cinematographer and a second shooter). In addition, we would like to depart for the destination a day in advance. The reason for this is that we would like to have plenty of time to scout out your wedding venue as well as ensure that we will be on time to the location on the day of your wedding. As for the departing flight, we will want to have our flight out booked for the day after your final event.
Sure, you can do that if you prefer, especially if you want to use your travel miles or rewards. We just need to know the flight information before you book the flights so we can approve the details (flight times, layovers, etc.)
Typically hiring photographers from your wedding location is not only more expensive but riskier in terms of receiving your images. Past clients have decided against hiring foreign photographers for a couple of reasons.
It is not only harder to coordinate with them about the details of your wedding day but also if you were to have any questions about your images, rather than having to deal with a prolonged and inconvenient correspondence, you could simply just come directly to us for assistance. Also being able to interact with your photographer during the engagement session will help reduce anxiety during your wedding day since you are comfortable with your photographer already. Finally, if there is any issue with your album, you can come to us directly.
I’d love to come along with you two on an adventure! Lets talk and we can work something out.
Yes! All our packages include the ability to make your own high resolution prints of the photos up to 8″x10″ in size.
We do not. This is actually better for you since it would dilute the overall product experience. We spend hours on our end to cull through all the photos (typically 3000-8000 photos per wedding, 15k+ for indian weddings) and eliminate all the test shots, misfocused shots, people blinking or making unflattering faces. We also shoot extra photos during each moment so we can pick the one with the sharpest focus or best expressions. We also take a lot of candid photos, which may include some unflattering expressions or we capture the specific action that was going on in one of the multiple shots we took, so we eliminated the duplicates. Don’t worry though, that shot of grandma that you will cherish will be in the edit!
Wedding clients will receive all edited high resolution JPG files with a printing release for up to 8″x10″ prints.
Sorry, we do not offer RAW files. Part of what you are getting from us is our specific style of photography, this includes the post processing of the RAW files. Another reason is we cannot have potentially unprofessionally edited photos out in the wild that could potentially misrepresent our work.
We can offer the raw video footage in a HDD. However, there is an additional charge for this service.
Copyright is what allows us to use the photographs for our portfolio, blog, online publications, etc. We retain the copyright. Printing rights allows you to use the files delivered to you to print your own photos either at your own print lab or at home. You receive the printing right for up to 8″x10″ with most of our packages.
